Our client is a leading payment, telecom, and enterprise solutions company that has been licensed by the Nigerian Communications Commission as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MNVO) in Nigeria, seeks for an IP Network Engineer  to join the IT team. The ideal person will play a key role in designing, implementing, operating, and maintaining our IP network infrastructure, ensuring its smooth operation, high performance, and security.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot various network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Implement and maintain network protocols, such as BGP, OSPF, and MPLS (depending on company needs).
  • Conduct network monitoring and analysis to identify and resolve network connectivity issues.
  • Ensure optimal network performance by optimizing routing protocols, managing network traffic, and implementing capacity planning strategies.
  • Participate in network upgrades and migrations, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption.
  • Document network configurations accurately and maintain up-to-date network diagrams.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including SIP Network engineers and system administrators, to ensure the overall effectiveness of the IT infrastructure.
  • Provide technical support to internal users regarding network-related issues.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest networking technologies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless customer journey.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and market conditions.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum [5] years of experience working with IP network infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols and technologies.
  • Experience with configuring, security, and troubleshooting network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong technical communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
