Question for Hitech Nigeria Limited

I bought a Hi-Tech 909 kerosene stove from a marketer in Kaduna,he told me to put 2.5 litres of kerosene, and drop one small camphor in and allow it for 48 hours before use. And he said the kerosene doesn't get finish but only expire after 6 months, then I will replace the kerosene. How truth is it? Because since the day I bought it, his number has been switched off. Please I want to be sure before I'll commence use, to avoid any disaster.
