Question for Fedex Red Star Express

A package was sent to me from someone in Texas USA but I have not yet received it since Tuesday. And I have already pay the clearance fee but they keep telling me to wait till next week Friday cause their van broke down on road and the boss is not on sit.and they ask me to pay 8000 to book a ticket for plane..pls I need ur advise and is it true
