Blano - Ikeja

The Blano Story is one of tragedy, determination, and hope. It began over 16 years ago, when I stood in a hospital with my father after he had been in a fatal car accident. The doctor could not treat him without full upfront payment, but we did not have enough cash and our friends did not have a fast way of sending money to the hospital. As a result, my father died of excessive bleeding right beside me in the waiting room.

A few years later, I traveled to Kenya and witnessed a moment that changed my life forever. My friend Ashley pulled out her mobile device and paid for her items with Paypal. I couldn't help but think: if we had this technology in Nigeria in 2005, my dad might still be alive.
