We have concentrated in Abia and recently we have started strategies to expand the training to cover more states, Anambra Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo beyond Abia state where our presence is being felt.

THE MISSION

The training is intended to cover more states, Anambra Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo beyond Abia state where our presence is being felt.
OUR VISION: To become a strong Human Capital development and capacity building agent for the youth and the unemployed.
OUR MISSION: By providing regular skills acquisition, empowerment and leadership training for the youth and the unemployed. And to instill positive mindset in these target groups, necessary for overcoming the challenges of unemployment and becoming future leaders.

OUR ANTECEDENTS IN DEMOCRACY AND HUMAN RIGHT
We have been active since the return of civil rule in 1999 with a platform called Legislative Advancement Network (LAN). We maintain a network of followers, supporters and groups by publishing our activities/ programmes and engagement quarterly. Copies of the publication which are attached were distributed offline and online to members on our network list, including the 36 legislatures in Nigeria. Most of our memoranda were sent to the National Assembly with a few directed to so State Legislatures. The cost was enormous as we submit an average of six memoranda per quarter, and we could not continue publication and the dispatch to these audiences when we could not find sponsors.
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE have been the masses and people interested in the civic and democratic developments of the country. From experiences garnered it became evident that unemployment rate was sky-rocketing, especially the youths across the nation. Therefore our emphasis shifted to address the dearth of skills acquisition and empowerment.
Since then we went ahead to establish IDEA WORKSHOP to expand the scope of our empowerment and training services.

THE NECESSITY OF OUR MISSION:
1.Since we commenced this training programme in 2011 we have had commendations by those who benefitted from our workshop materials and resources; we have also been overwhelmed by unemployed persons wishing that we had ready jobs for them or knowledge of vacancies. But beyond that, we have received calls to recruit dozens of trainee managers as well as executive management staff, from expatriate Tower Manufacturing company, Lagos; Krepp Gmbh, Abuja; the managing director of a newly established mall in Kano etc. All of them found our contacts through Vconnect.com platform where we registered. In response we regretted our inability to ;provide or recommend persons to suit their needs immediately. However, on further prodding we discovered that their worries about recruiting directly from the labor market is the apparent lack of integrity, trust and background checks of the huge crowd of applicants. But on our side we cannot recommend anyone whose background and quality are not verified and guaranteed
