Company description
The museum is a deliberate effort by the Niger Delta born ecoentrepreneur and environmentalist Gogo Abel Ujile to preserve and promote the rich aquatic and cultural heritage in Niger Delta.
Our collection encompasses African, contemporary and neo-colonial items influenced by the Trans Niger Delta slaves trade activities. The region features powerful kingdoms known as city states ruled by warrior-kings and wealthy marchants whose early contact with the white men could afford softicated artillery including fleets of gun boat known as war-canoes.
The permanent site of the museum still contain the relics of fort built in 18th century by king Otuo of Unyeada to prevent attack from enemy forces.
