Simply the best
First of all, it’s Whiteplains British School. I had read so many reviews but being someone who never judges a book by its cover, I decided to go myself and try it out. Granted, I was a bit skeptical at first so I registered and paid for a term (3+ months). My child started in the reception class and is now in year 3. I don’t know how it happened but i absolutely fell in love with the school. From the environment to the staff, it was all so welcoming. The teachers have a real passion for the children. I realised that because my child started reading before her peers. Whenever I set up play dates, Ola just seemed much more advanced. The kids there are real born leaders - special in every sense of the word. I’m quite impressed. The difference i noticed in those 3 months made me stay and i’m so glad i did. I still don’t know why those negative reviews were up but from my personal experience, i am so satisfied.

This school has seen 7 principals come and go in 7 years. It should be avoided at all costs.

We will not be allowing our daughter to resume after christmas period after hearing of directors past behaviour and dishonesty, principals leaving because of this and parents withdrawing their children from the school

It is not possible to run a british school with our nigerian mentality and the directors of this school are guilty of terrible malpractice where setting srandards are concerned. None of the white staff have stayed because they refuse to be part of the wicked behaviiour of the owners. Students leave after 1-2 years. I removed my children and sent them to regent school for same fees but international teachers and mentality.

there is an obvious distinction between this school and other schools in Nigeria. it is a British experience in Nigeria.

If that is the case, don't you think it a very strange that all children of British expatriates in Abuja attend either the Regent School or the International Community School? Whiteplains is as close to a British experience in Nigeria as egusi.

I imagine the previous reviewer has been paid my the owners of this appalling school to post that review. Thank you 'Stella'. However, allow me to shed some truth about Whiteplains British School.
The school is simply a get-rich-quick scheme for its owners. They have no background in education and the Director's PhD is of a highly dubious origin. They are quite keen to entice wealthy parents into enrolling their children for extortionate school (3 MILLION NAIRA) fees only then to deliver a sub-standard education.
They have seen 5 principals come and go in as many years. 3 Brits and a South African and one Nigerian. This should be enough to make you want to run a mile.
Interestingly, no student ever stays for more than 2-3 years before their parents discover what an atrocious excuse for a 'school' this really is.
Avoid this place at all costs.

Excellent school. Producing great students and great leaders of tomorrow. First rate education. Hard to believe it exists in Nigeria. Very proud of the student body government and the teachers. Highly recommended.
