Gastroscopy

About the product
Gastroscopy is a direct visualisation of the upper gastrointestinal tract (oesophagus, stomach and first part of the small intestine) using a fibre-optic camera. Common findings are slight inflammation of the lining of the stomach (gastritis), ulcers but sometimes growths or tumours are found in which case the endoscopist will take tissue specimens for examination.
