IJMB is equivalent to being at 100 level in the Nigerian universities. Thus, successful IJMB students will be admitted into 200 level in the year of the final examination through DIRECT ENTRY.
JAMB UTME is NOT needed nor required for you to gain admission into 200 level in any university of your choice next year.
By September, when you will be admitted into 200 level in any university of your choice, you will catch up with your mates who may gain admission into 100 level in the previous year through JAMB UTME.
When they are going to the 200 level, you will also be entering into 200 level through your IJMB A/LEVEL result. That means you have lost nothing.
IJMB A/LEVEL PROGRAM is far better than DIPLOMA and PRE-DEGREE PROGRAMS.
For example:
1. Your Pre-degree result can only be used in that same university where you did the program and NOT tenable in other universities. If you are not admitted by that university, then, it is a waste of effort, time and resources, WHEREAS, you can use your IJMB A/LEVEL result to gain admission into ANY university of your choice.
2. Also, if you succeed in the Pre-Degree program, its result admits you into 100 level, but IJMB A/LEVEL result admits you into 200 level.
3. The result of the Pre-Degree is valid for that same academic session. If you don't gain admission in September of that same year, then, it expires and cannot be used again. WHEREAS, the result of your IJMB A/LEVEL program has no expiry date.
