Job description
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring and maintaining the Internet Connectivity for their clients through their systems. You will lead a team of energetic and passionate engineers that will ensure the provision of a stable, reliable and fast internet connection to their customers. You are expected to be proficient at the following tasks:

• Monitoring the Network Operating Centre Activities and spotting issues and resolving them proactively and quickly.
  
• Continuously tuning our network to ensure reliability, efficiency and high performance.
  
• Overseeing the maintenance of network installations and network devices.
  
• Undertake revisions of the network infrastructure and propose improvements for optimal performance providing competitive advantages for our network.
  
• Provisioning first point of contact for our customers with technical issues either by phone or by email through our ticketing system.
  
• Providing effective remote support service for our customers.
  
• Configuring and setting up equipment to be deployed in the field.
  
• Ordering and configuring a range of network and telecommunications services.
  
• Mentoring Trainee Engineers and helping them become proficient.

The Candidate

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer with a real passion for Networks, IT and
customer satisfaction and service delivery.

Qualification/Experience

At least 5 years’ experience as a senior network engineer
HND/BSc Degree preferably in a Technology Program or equivalent experience
Good communications and interpersonal skills
Experience with fast-paced dynamic team
Flexible and fast thinker with ability to solve problems quickly
Given to continuous learning and education.
Effective organisational skills with the ability to plan and priorities.
Ability to problem solve practical problems
