Emergency First Aid for the Workplace (EFAW) is suitable for those who work in low hazard environments or where Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines indicate staff should hold a certificate in emergency first aid at work.

Emergency First Aid for the WorkplaceThis course gives learners the skills and confidence to respond to a range of accidents and first aid emergencies they could encounter in the workplace.

This class is based on the three principles of first aid, which determines the objectives to be met during the class:
• Preserve Life
• Prevent Worsening Condition
• Promote Recovery

What Will Are We Teaching?
- Train lay persons to a basic standard of first aid
- Impart a wide spectrum of knowledge spanning the basic principles of immediate action to be taken in emergency situations and
- Consolidate knowledge through the discussion and hands‐on practice of numerous common scenarios.

After successful completion of the class, each participant should be able to:
- assess an emergency situation quickly and calmly;
- protect him/herself, bystanders and casualties from danger;
- assess the condition of all casualties and identify the need of immediate care;
- administer appropriate care for life threatening injuries relative to consciousness, airway, breathing & circulation;
- comfort and reassure casualties and bystanders.

Class duration
This 5-6 hour class will give you the skills and confidence to deal with all the above and more!
