LOTO
Lock out Tag Out is a critical process at Multsol, all detailed steps to safely complete any activity
requiring SAM-LOTOTO are available in the Multsol-S.A.F.E.4. SAM & Lock Tag Try & Machine Safety which
will be used as guidance by the project Safety Team to manage any process involving this type of
activity.
The Contractor must work in conjunction with an Client employee responsible for the area where the
LOTO is required for the task, The Client employee will apply his/her lock and the Contractor will use
their own locks to also lock the equipment. It is very common to find several energy sources linked to
the equipment to be serviced including but not limited to chemical, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical,
pneumatic, thermal, etc.
