Dr. Abiola Shitta-Bey is the founder of Minimally Invasive Surgical Solutions Ltd. She received her medical degree at Rutgers University in New jersey and her Masters of Public Health at John Hopkins University-Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Shitta-Bey is an actively practicing Obstetrician Gynecologist in the United States and has been trained in minimally invasive surgery.
She is a fellow of the American college of Obstetrician Gynecologists as well as a member of the American Association of Gynecologic laparoscopists. Dr. Shitta-Bey believes in the empowerment of the community that one serves. Currently, minimally invasive surgical procedures are rare in the Nigerian health sector and the pool of surgeons that practice these procedures are small. In Dr. Shitta-bey’s vision, all practising surgeons in Nigeria become competent in their ability to operate laparoscopically.
