About the product
The Companies and Allied Matters Act 1990 requires that every Company carrying on business in Nigeria should appoint an Independent Auditor certified by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria to audit the books of accounts and other financial records of the company and issue an Audit opinion on the Financial Statements.

The format for the preparation of the accounts and the presentation of the Financial Statements is provided in the Companies and Allied Matters Act and the various Nigerian Accounting Standards issued by the Nigerian Accounting Standards Board and where relevant the International Accounting Standards (IAS).


The role of our firm in fulfilling these legal and professional requirements is to
• Collaborate with the company in setting up the accounts structure of the company to ensure that it conforms with these legal provisions and the accounting standards
• Propose Internal Control procedures to guarantee the integrity of the financial records and accounts of the company
• Implement the approved Internal Control Procedures to prevent errors, irregularities and fraud
• Advise on company’s accounting policies and thereafter
• Conduct a Systems Audit on the company prior to the annual audit
• Conduct an annual statutory audit of the books of account, accounting systems and Financial Statements of the Company
• Issue and Audit Report annually to the members of the Company
• Adopt Internationally accepted audit procedures and standards in the conduct of the audit


Corporate Affairs Commission-Abuja
The approved audited Accounts and Financial Statements are required to be filed annually with the Corporate Affairs Commission along with other company documents to make up the Annual Returns of the Company. The most important document in this is the Audited Financial Statements.
